While expensive watch brands are many things, sometimes their names can be a bit confusing to the average watch buyer. Take the Omega Seamaster 300 and the fake Omega Seamaster Diver 300M for example. On the surface, it is not wrong that these two Omega watches are almost identical because they have almost the same name. However, all types of watches are different. Let's take a look at these Omega Seamaster watches and see how they differ.
Vintage Style
In 1957, Omega introduced a water watch called the Seamaster 300. The stainless steel watch had a rotatable bezel to keep still time, a black dial and shiny hands, and data signals about water scarcity and 200-meter depth. Yes, despite being called the Seamaster 300 watch, it is officially estimated to have a depth of 200 meters-some say because of a lack of good testing equipment. Released in 1993, the fake Omega Seamaster Diver 300M Omega was the most advanced solution to provide water resistance for the popular James Bond watches in several James Bond movies starting in 1995. While the older 300M fake watches looked like a 41mm crossover, the new generation adds a 42mm case (about 13.5mm thick) starting in 2018. The 300 million sunken signatures include a sculpted chassis, helium gas emerging from the edge of the noise at 10 p.m. and skeleton-shaped hands. Current features include a ceramic insert in the bezel, tiles painted with a wave pattern, a date window and six o'clock. Like the Seamaster 300, the Omega Seamaster Diver 300M is available in a variety of materials-steel, ceramic, titanium, yellow gold, rose gold and two shades-as well as hand-painted metal bracelets, rubber bands or NATO bands. The new 300M Seamaster Diver model is the COSC and METAS certified automatic movement Omega Master 8800. The 8800 caliber provides up to 55 hours of power for serious injuries, just like the local Omega Group Cal. The 8800 can withstand magnetic fields of up to 15,000 gauss. In addition to the usual fake Omega Seamaster Diver 300M time and date, Omega also produces the 300M Chronograph and a special 300M James Bond Diver.
Comparison
Although both of these Omega watches are from the Seamaster brand, offer up to 300 meters of water clarity and feature Omega automatic mechanisms, they have two different positions. As older watches, the Seamaster 300 is the least mentioned watch, featuring the fake watches that dominated the mid-20th century. On the other hand, the Diver 300M is the second best sports watch (some may strongly question the condition of the date and the helium vent) and comes with stylish details.
