Recycling
WireReady recycles and provides computers to stations in need of inexpensive hardware. We charge $150 to cover our windows operating system license costs, shipping and labor. If you are supplying the windows license - the cost per computer drops to $100.

Choose your own monitor, keyboard and mouse
You supply the monitor/screen, and if you prefer a brand new keyboard and mouse, you may supply those separately, otherwise we include the original mouse and keyboard that came with the computer.

Certification
We certify each machine runs perfectly and we repaint the exterior.
If you want a brand new hard-drive installed we can add a 40GB drive (more than adequate) for $50.
If you prefer XP pro instead of home edition we can do that too.
If your station already has academic or special licensing with Microsoft, we can prepare the computers with home edition or XP and let you do the activation.
For the server or capture station, if you want two drives in a RAID 1 (mirroring) configuration for extra redundancy (in case a drive fails) add $400.

Don't need the most powerful machines in your facility? If slower hardware is all you need, by all means use it...
While 1, 2 and 3Ghz computers are great, we have many customers happily running our systems on computers with much slower hardware. Because WireReady software was built for speed and efficiency, it does not necessarily require fast computers. For this reason, we have secured a large quantity of Pentium III 450Mhz machines. We upgrade the memory to 256MB of RAM and install a brand new licensed copy of windows along with our software so they are ready to be used. If you don't need to connect more than 10 other computers (if you want a multi-studio/multi-user system, we can also setup one of these computers as a shared drive to be the server. Because the server is just a hard-drive, we have found that the processor speed on this computer doesn't matter either.
