The Broadcast Tools IU-4 is sold through WireReady with modifications that provide a built-in buzzer/siren - and a remote reset input. In this configuration - the device is connected to a serial port (or USB adapter) on the computer running WINCAP. When a specific story arrives in your system - the software toggles the DTR pin on the port low for 1 second. The IU-4 is set to latch a relay when this happens and sound the siren until someone hits the built-in reset button or closes the remote reset circuit.
WireReady sells this for $279.
Stations are free to build their own devices if they like.
