GUIDELINES FOR IMPORTING TRAFFIC AND MUSIC LOGS WireReady systems can import any ASCII text file that has at minimum the matching cart name or number in a column somewhere in the text file. Any 1-8 character alphanumeric name/number is accepted. On the same line as each cart name or number, an airtime is also strongly preferred. The airtime can be in military or civilian time format with colons. For example 23:59:00 would be acceptable, as would 11:59:00 p or 11:59:00 pm These columns can be located anywhere in the file, and other extraneous information is automatically ignored by our program. The a/p am/pm notation used with civilian time can abut or be located any number of spaces away from the time. Every audio cut in the log does not have to have a full time. For example 500 11:59:00 1100 :59:30 600 Would all be acceptable, as the WireReady software will remember it's the 11 hour, even if that value doesn't repeat. In general we hold the last HH, MM, or SS of the previous read-in audio cut, if the full time doesn't appear on every cut within a break, and that will not hurt anything. If partial times are used though, they should still line up in their respective columns. Our import engine will automatically ignore lines that have other non-audio play data, so a washed report is not necessary. Many stations redirect their printed logs to a file and that works fine.
