Sometimes you may wish to add your own custom categories to the list of categories that is included with your software. To do this follow these steps: 1) From the F:\WIRE\INSTALL\COMMAND\> prompt, type the following command: TYPE $SPECIAL.CMD. Press <ÄÙ. 2) These first four lines should appear on the screen: s @\users\#\$config.wr a a @\users\#\$config.wr @\system\$config.wr a s @\capture\$config.wr a a @\capture\$config.wr @\system\$config.wr a IF THESE LINES TO NOT READ EXACTLY LIKE THIS THEN DO NOT PROCEED ANY FURTHER. GIVE WIREREADY A CALL BEFORE PROCEEDING. YOU MAY HAVE A OTHER LINES, BUT THESE FOUR MUST BE THERE. 3) Follow the included instructions on how to enter the SETUP program. 4) From the main menu at the SETUP program, highlight the SET CUSTOM CATEGORIES and press <ÄÙ. A box will appear similar to this: ÚÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄ¿ ³ ³ ³ Custom Categories ³ ³ ³ ³ ³ ³ Slot1 Unused ³ ³ Slot2 Unused ³ ³ Slot3 Unused ³ ³ Slot4 Unused ³ ³ Slot5 Unused ³ ³ Slot6 Unused ³ ³ Slot7 Unused ³ ³ Slot8 Unused ³ ³ Slot9 Unused ³ ³ Slot10 Unused ³ ³ Slot11 Unused ³ ³ Slot12 Unused ³ ³ ³ ÀÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÙ 5) To ADD/CHANGE the categories, highlight the categories you wish to change OR highlight an UNUSED slot to ADD a new category and press <ÄÙ. (The listing continues if you press PgDn. 6) Type in the name you want and press <ÄÙ. 7) When are finished, press F3. 8) Press F4. 9) Press ESC once. 10) At the menu highlight the USER MAINTENANCE option and press <ÄÙ. A box will appear looking like this: ÚÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄ¿ ³Add ³ ³Delete ³ ³Custom ³ ÀÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÙ NOTE: WireReady NSI has recently changed its Setup program. If you do not see a choice Custom in this menu, call WireReady NSI for assistance. 11) Highlight the CUSTOM option and press <ÄÙ. 12) Using F9 (deselect\select all) and the SPACEBAR (deselect\select one), select the users whose categories you wish to change. When finished selecting the users, press <ÄÙ (usually all users have access to these categories). 13) Press ESC TWICE. 14) If you are at a workstation, type RUNWR or LOADCART (depending on whether or not you are using CartReady; see your computer engineer for assistance) and press <ÄÙ.
