Selector Box RESET- PINOUTS- 3 is signal, 5 is grnd, and 7 is the handshaking line FORMAT- can be ANPA if you want PROTOCOL- 2400,N,8,1 If you want it to be in the ANPA format set the dip switches as follows: switch 3 up switch 4 up switch 5 down switch 6 up Pin Information 1 DCD- tied in with 4 & 6 2 RxData- left floating 3 TxData- News comes out here 4 DTR- tied in with 1 & 6 5 Ground 6 DSR- tied in with 1 & 4 7 RTS- External device provides handshake to enable TX data. The only significant pins as stated above are 3,5, and 7. ADDRESS: NBC 30 Rockefeller Plaza New York, NY 10112 Other information: WESTWOOD ONE SELECTOR The WestWood One box has a DC 9 Volt power supply. There is a GREEN LED on the front panel labelled PWR. This box receives data from the voice cue card in the satellite receiver via an RJ11 connector labelled 212A LINE. The balanced output from the voice cue card is connected to the middle 2 contacts of the RJ11 connector. These are typically red and green wires on a pre-wired connector. To receive DATA the DATS satellite receiver must be set to receive Satcom C5, Transponder 15 and the voice cue card must be set as follows: CHANNEL SELECT 19, SUBCHANNEL SELECT: 03. After this connection is made the amber LED labelled "CD" should light. If not connections are wrong. It must be at 0 Dbm into the Netwriter box. Parallel printers will not work. On the back of the WestWood One box is a DB25 labelled "Port 1". The output pins are: 1- Frame Ground 2- Data Transmit 7- Signal Ground 20- Data Terminal Ready The baud rate is usually 1200,n,8,1. There is a TEST button on top of the box, in a very small hole. Press and the amber LED on the front of the box marked ACT will light and it will output the following message: THIS IS A DATA DISTRIBUTION DEMODULATOR TEST. MCCURDY DATA DEMODULATOR This is a white box. It has 4 LED's. They are: POWER, CD, ACT, RST and ACTIVE RESET. It has 3 output ports that are female DB25's. They all output data on pin 2 which is transmit data. The McCurdy demodulator has a reset button and a test button on the top of it.
